In case youre wondering, Im Ellie.
I was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas and lived there until I was 16. I moved to the US back in the late 90s and have been here ever since. As the name of this blog suggests, I now happily reside in Hoboken, NJ.
I first began food blogging back in 2008 (what?!?!). I had a site called The Bitchin Kitchin, which I still love and adore. But when I set out to rebrand myself, I wanted to choose a new name that I felt was more appropriate.
Thus, The Hobo Kitchen was born. I love living and cooking in Hoboken and even if I do move, I dont see myself shirking the name of the place where I got my food blogger start, if you will.
Hopefully you enjoy the bits and bobs that I create in my little kitchen as I pretty much just try to feed myself in this life. Come join me!
